BGW Building Supply Warranty | Coverage Details & Claim Process

At BGW Building Supply, we are committed to delivering high-quality building materials and ensuring your projects meet the highest standards. Our warranty policies are designed to be clear, reliable, and contractor-friendly, covering a range of products including doors, flooring, cabinets, windows, and more.

If a covered product has a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you, subject to the terms below.

What This Warranty Covers

This Limited Warranty applies to all BGW Building Supply products (“Covered Products”) installed in the U.S. It covers:

Non-Glass Components

  • Protection against manufacturing defects in material or workmanship that significantly impair operation or performance.

Glass Components

  • Includes replacement of insulated glass where applicable, shipped free to the original delivery address. Finishing or installation costs are not included.

Requirements to Validate Warranty

To ensure warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:

  1. Delivery Release: Must be emailed to kevin@bgwdoors.com within 48 hours of delivery.

  2. Installation: Products must be installed according to manufacturer guidelines.

  3. Storage: Store items in a dry, ventilated space, off the ground, and protected from direct sunlight, rain, or snow.

  4. Maintenance: Regular maintenance per product type is required (e.g., exterior doors should be refinished annually).

Failure to meet these requirements may void your warranty.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear or minor cosmetic imperfections

  • Warping or movement within industry tolerance

  • Natural variations in wood, color, or grain

  • Improper finishing, installation, or storage

  • Damage from exposure to water, storms, or climate-related expansion/shrinkage

  • Rust or discoloration of decorative hardware

  • Any modifications or alterations not approved by BGW Building Supply

Filing a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim, contact us in writing at kevin@bgwdoors.com. Include:

  • Your name, contact info, and installation/project address

  • Product details (purchase date, invoice copy)

  • Description of the defect and clear photos

Claims must be filed within the coverage period for the specific product type from the discovery of the defect.

Legal Notes

  • Warranty is valid for original purchasers only and is non-transferable.

  • Coverage may be void if installation or maintenance instructions are not followed.

  • BGW Building Supply is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.

  • Disputes are governed by California law, with jurisdiction in Los Angeles County.
